Hi, I'm Rico Dittrich - though online I usually go by Ditti. I'm currently a Solutions Architect at MongoDB. In the past, I've worked as a Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Engineering Manager. Along the way, I've built software for Linux-based L2 network switches, C# and Java desktop applications, Spring Boot services, and plenty more. I've also led cross-functional teams of up to nine people, including UI/UX designers, frontend and backend engineers, QA engineers, and customer insights specialists.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, and nerding out over technology. That's mostly what you'll find on this blog: experiments in self-hosting, side projects I'm developing, and home automation adventures.
